GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Intermediate Marketing Communications Specialist will support the delivery of a wide variety of projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven Marketing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to a wide variety of communications and programs/projects to raise awareness about Level Platforms, and to continue to position the company as the leading provider of Remote Monitoring and Management software.
The person in this role will primarily work with the marketing team, but also in a cross-functional capacity with Sales and Partner Services, as well as interact with executives, product managers, customers, and vendor partners, to ensure coordinated, accurate, effective communications. Reporting to the VP Marketing, this role is focused on building a global technology brand through creative, consistent and effective contribution to a broad spectrum of marketing communications activities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develops collateral content, presentation content, website copy and byline articles
- Produces and manages a wide range of technical and business-focused marketing brochures (writes, edits, finalizes copy, and publishes electronically and/or in print)
- Contributes to product and program launch communications
- Contributes to social media initiatives
- Contributes to White Papers (definition, content development, publication), some more technically oriented, others more business-oriented
- Coordinates email marketing campaigns with other members of the Marketing and Sales teams (writes, coordinates internal reviews, and finalizes copy)
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 or more years of communications experience in technology market
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Commerce (Marketing), or equivalent
- Superior writing, editing, pitching, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented, energetic, creative, versatile, self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented
- Strong project planning and project management skills
- Comfortable with deadlines and gracious under pressure
- In addition to strong skills in using standard applications (MS Office), must also be competent working with PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
- Basic HTML experience an asset
- Industry/Marketing experience related to the following are definite assets: software, managed services, channel marketing, SMB, international business
- Small and mid-sized company experience highly beneficial
